What Does Depreciated Mean?

Continuing the discussion from My wallet is lost?:

Hi @poolmonster and welcome to the forum!

Usually I think depreciated means that the value of some token has gone down. I’m not sure what mean by “disadvantages handling accounts in this path”, though.

Can you explain more about your question?

do i need to worry about my account i created in the past ?
i am thinking of some kind of outdated wallet type … thats what it sounds like

Ah, I think I understand.

You shouldn’t have any problem with wallets created in the past. If it was created long enough ago, it might not open by default when you try to import your seed phrase into some wallet like Phantom, but there’s still a way to get to it even if that happens. You can either recover it from the commandline or with the Sollet wallet.

Your tokens won’t be worth less or anything like that if you have an older wallet type.
